Colombaio is a characterful farmhouse,  restored to an exceptionally high standard, furnished with a strong element of contemporary design and comfort unusual in rental properties in Italy.  Set close to the Val d’Orcia, in the province of Siena, it’s an ideal location for those who wish to visit the wonderful sights of Tuscany and across into Umbria.

Originally Colombaio was a working farmhouse with a dovecot, today the property offers a spacious, comfortable place to enjoy a relaxing holiday.  The property offers modern facilities while retaining many of its original features.

 

The property sits in olive groves with extensive, private gardens which offer 360° views across rolling hills.  A heated swimming pool, 2 outdoor dining patios and a decking area so you can enjoy the outdoor space throughout the day. 

The surrounding pastures are home to local sheep who’s tinkling bells will accompany your sunset aperitives and al fresco dining. Colombaio offers a fabulous  kitchen/dining area, 2 sitting rooms, 4 double bedrooms, 1 twin bedroom and a single studio plus five bathrooms. All bedrooms have air conditioning.

Outdoor facilities include a laundry room and a separate shower room.

Ground Floor
The ground floor offers a spacious kitchen/dining area, a comfortable sitting room, 2 double bedrooms both with ensuite shower rooms and a single bedroom/study with adjoining shower room.

First Floor
A  stone staircase leads to a cozy sitting room with fireplace, a master bedroom with ensuite bath and shower room, a double bedroom and a separate shower room. 

Loft Area
The second floor offers a spacious loft room with two single beds and is accessed from a staircase in the sitting room.
